petite love

andrea. petite. grad student. trying to navigate the world in skinny jeans and sunglasses. lower-case letters, cardigans and sarcasm sums me up pretty well. i dream of pretty things and wearing perfectly accessorized outfits while i throw fabulous dinner parties. instead i watch trashy reality television and drink wine. no complaints here.

Boys can be gross. Like really gross. I can’t really complain however because Boyfriend is OCD clean. He loves to mop, enjoys cleaning the bathroom and pledges like it his day job.  BUUUUUT there are a few things I can’t stand! I have compiled a list of my at-home deal breakers:

  • Cheese not properly sealed in a baggie. Once cheese is left out and becomes hard around the edges is when I suddenly decide I am lactose intolerant. As Fabo eloquently said -just throw it in a bag.
  • Empty beer bottles/can left on the counter. Rinse them out, put them in a recycle bin, then drive said bin to redeem cans for five cents. They aren’t making a profit on my counter. If one thing I learned from college is that old beer stinks.
  • God created duvet covers so I don’t have to look at that fugly down comforter. You don’t know what one is? Allow me to educate you. Girls just like them. In addition to euro shams and extra pillows and the occasional decorative pillow. Just trust us.
  • Lots o’ light. Maybe I tend to leave lights on, but I like light. Standing lamps, table lamps, kitchen lights- I want them all! 
  • Dogs. Last one is somewhat personal but I looove my dog. LOVE HIM. I like sleeping with him, I am sorry if you don’t but as soon as you leave for work he is on the bed. Either way, Oscar and I will have our snuggle time.
